Photo ID matched to a selfie by our team before anyone is listed. Tutors of under-18s also pass a DBS or police check from the last 12 months.

FAQ
Questions parents ask us
How do you check tutors?+
Every tutor uploads photo ID and a selfie holding it; our team matches them before the profile goes live. Anyone teaching under-18s also uploads a DBS or police clearance certificate issued in the last 12 months. Qualifications they list are checked against documents.
How does paying work?+
You pay per lesson by card or UPI when you book. We hold the money until the lesson has happened and nobody has reported a problem, then release it to the tutor. Prices you see include our 3% service fee.
What if I need to cancel?+
Cancel for free up to 24 hours before. After that, the tutor’s cancellation policy (shown before you book) applies. If the tutor cancels late or doesn’t turn up, you get a full refund plus 10% credit.
Are lessons recorded?+
Lessons with under-18s are recorded for safeguarding and kept for 90 days. Only our trust team, or a parent who raises a concern, can watch them. We also save a still of the board and cameras every 5 minutes as proof the lesson happened.
Can I talk to a tutor before booking?+
Yes — messaging is free. Phone numbers, emails and links are hidden until your first paid lesson together, so everything stays protected by our refunds and guarantee.
Do I need to download anything?+
No. The classroom runs in your browser with video, a shared whiteboard and chat, and is built to work on a 4G connection.
